By hiring us, requesting a quote, using our website, or engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided

2. Estimates and Pricing
- All estimates provided are approximate and based on available information at the time of quoting.
- Final pricing may vary depending on soil conditions, underground obstructions, additional labor, materials, or unforeseen site challenges.
- Any changes to scope will be communicated to the customer before continuing work.
- Payment terms will be outlined in the project proposal or invoice.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate job-site information, including location details and property boundaries.
- Disclose all known underground utilities, septic systems, drain fields, or hazards.
- Ensure access for equipment, vehicles, and personnel.
- Obtain required permits unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Follow all safety instructions while present on the job site.
4. Underground Utilities & Damage Disclaimer
Steel Valley Trenching and Excavating LLC takes safety seriously and follows proper locating procedures, including recommending 811 public utility marking prior to work.
However:
- We are not liable for damage to unmarked, improperly marked, abandoned, or undisclosed private utilities, septic systems, drain lines, irrigation, or underground structures.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring private utilities are identified before work begins.
5. Scheduling and Delays
- Project timelines may change due to weather, equipment availability, emergencies, or safety concerns.
- SVTE reserves the right to reschedule or pause work if conditions are unsafe or could cause property damage.
6. Deposits and Payment
- A deposit may be required for certain projects.
- Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise stated.
- Late payments may incur additional fees.
7. Warranty and Service Guarantee
We stand behind our workmanship. While excavation involves environmental factors outside our control, SVTE guarantees:
- Professional workmanship
- Proper safety practices
- Honest communication
- Completion of contracted services to agreed standards
8. Website Use

9. Cancellations
Customers must notify us promptly for cancellations or rescheduling. SVTE may postpone work due to unsafe conditions or non-payment.
10. Limitation of Liability
SVTE is not liable for:
- Damages from undisclosed or improperly marked utilities
- Preexisting property damage
- Delays outside our control
- Soil settling after excavation
- Septic failures unrelated to our work
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Pennsylvania law.
